PERCOLATION

Example Type:
Natural Occurrence

Information:
Location:
Record Date: 08.22
Season: Summer
Elevation: 260 Feet

Notes:
Not all rock is hard rock. Some can be dissolved by water. When rains occur water can seep through these rocks, dissolve minerals and carry away them away to lower altitudes. This seeping and dissolving leaves pock marks and holes in the rocks. The action is similar to percolation in a coffee maker.
