EROSION DUE TO RAINFALL

Example Type:
Earth Erosion

Information:
Location: Hillside
Record Date: 05.22
Season: Spring
Elevation: 100 Feet

Notes:
These examples of erosion are caused by rainfall. In the photos you can see where the streams of water come from the top of the hill and run down the sides. As the water flows, it carries soil and rocks with it. Grooves slowly form and the hill is carried down to the ground below. This erosion can eventually lead to slide and flow movements of the soil.
