Chichén Itzá - Tropical Rain Forest
Chichén Itzá is an ancient Mayan city found on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. While worthy of many pages of explanation, we're focusing on the surrounding tropical forest. You will find a humid area with large trees that have broad leaves. Left unchecked, that forest would quickly expand and cover the ruins again. There are many bird species and if you visit, you will definitely see iguanas walking around. The surrounding area is very moist, so you will also find a variety of insects.
